Where did all the bird seed go?

We found a squirrel in our magnolia bush eating all the birdseed from the bell

I had just hung up a few days ago. Darn it! Well I guess he was hungry too but the

little rodent took off with the whole bell. Geez, if it is not the neighbors cat it is the

the darn squirrels eating the birdseed.

Ahh.. I love the squirrels. I don't buy the bells as more even though they are as cute as can be. And that's the reason. I find a fly through birdfeeder works the best. Because the squirrels can't destroy them.

Well, he was a greedy little fellow wasn't he? LOL! ...but now well-fed! :) I love watching my bird feeders and all the birds that flock around it. So far I haven't had any trouble with the squirrels.

Those little critters are hard to keep at bay when it comes to the bird seed. They are fun to watch but can be destructive. I've had them chew through my phone line before.

Yep, they do it everytime! J takes food, to the creek for the squirrels, but they still like to rob the birdfeeders. I have a picture of a Fox Squirrel trying to rob one of our feeders a couple years ago. It was on a shepherds hook, so he had to work to get to the feeder.

Those darn squirrels! I know how you feel. I actually had a squirrel take the lid off of the large popcorn tin where I keep the birdseed and dive in. Twice. Since then, I keep a brick on top.

But that doesn't keep them out of the bird feeders......and I so enjoy watching the birds feed--when they beat the squirrels to the food.

Thanks for stopping by my blog:)

I have the same problem, but the squirrels are such entertainment in their escapades, that's hard to hate them:)

Taking the advise I read, we greased the pole that holds our finch feeder-- now that was funnnnny!-- to watch the puzzled look on the squirrel's face as he slid back down the pole after jumping on to climb it:)

Seem to be a common problem with all who feed the birds:)

Thanks for stopping by my place, come anytime!

Any squirrels we would have are squared off by my crazy barking buddy! We are working on getting purple martins and blue birds this year. Wish us luck!
