This past weekend we took a little trip to Oglesby Illinois

for a B & B getaway. I found a deal on Amazon Local at

the Brightwood Inn.

With a full house of my son and his wife and my daughter

and her daughter living with us you can imagine how hectic

things can get at home sometimes.  

It was a fun stay with great hosts and peaceful surroundings.

We stayed in the  Mackinac
 Room which has a light house motif.

It was so charming and had a working fireplace, and a Jacuzzi tub 

in the very spacious bathroom.

Breakfast was awesome with fresh fruit, pumpkin bread, and two

choices for Breakfast. One was pancakes and bacon and the other

were English muffins covered with ham, herb covered scrambled eggs

and cheese. My hubby chose the first on and I chose the second.

Neither of us were disappointed. My hostess also promised to emal me her pumpkin bread recipe.  

We also shopped at many antique malls along the way and I took photos which I will

share with you at another time.
