Honeysuckle Smells Wonderful!

Not many flowers left but this honeysuckle and the banana tree's are huge this year!
I love this blue flower too. I am not sure if it is a morning glory or what it is...any
thoughts? I was outside taking pictures and something stung me in the back of the leg
right were my knee bends. It flew away but I think it was a wasp or hornet..
Anyway put some baking soda paste on it but it is still burning and stinging. Ouch!!!
What do you think is a good treatment of stings? Hope you have a great Monday.

So sorry that you got stung. I've heard that it helps to make the baking soda paste with vinegar instead of water but I don't know if it helps. I hope that you feel better soon.

The pictures you posted are beautiful. Your yard is lovely. I can smell the fragrance from here.

thanks for sharing, Lura

The honeysuckle looks beautiful. I bet the fragrance is wonderful. Not sure about the sting. I once squashed a wasp by accident when I leant on it with my elbow and the pain was horrendous. After a few days it was ok.

Hi Joy, Your honeysuckle looks so beautiful and does your morning glory vine! I loved seeing your post about the wedding in St. Charles. My friend and I did a quick "run through" of St. Charles a few weeks ago--it is one of my favorite places--that park looked beautiful! Dana

I love honeysuckle too....we have it all through our woods & it always smells heavenly. The blue flowers are morning glories....one of my favorites! I've always used baking soda for stings too & it always seems to help. I LOVE your banana trees - something I've always wanted but have never planted!

I would think it heavenly to have a banana tree. I remember seeing so many when I was in Martinique. Ah, to sing in the banana grove, a Spanish song of joy!
Honeysuckle is one of my favourite scents. I find it intoxicating. I would love a perfume that exactly duplicates that scent.
