Marching Band!

Well the season is over but I thought I would share a couple pictures of my

daughter Stephanie in their new band uniforms. This is her last year in the band

before going off to college. She has not decided if she wants to play for the

University she is going to yet or not. It takes up so much free time but she did

make a lot of great friends and have a lot of fun these last four years.

What a great time for your daughter!!

None of my girls chose to be in band, but I was. It was wonderful. I was actually in band, 6 years, starting in 7th grade. Lots of fun memories. If you recall Aunt Pittypat who visited last August and my friend JoAnn, I speak of now and then...we all played French Horn in band, together. My friend Gwyn was also in band...50 years later we still keep in touch, almost daily.

My sister was in band and she carried and played the base drum! She swears that that is what is wrong with her back now 20 yrs later! She had a blast and I bet your daughter is too!
Hope you have a wonderful week and visit me again!

This post brings back sweet memories for me. My Mindy was in band through middle school, high school and college. It does take up a lot of time and effort but it is wonderful to have musical talent.

I am happy for your Stephanie. Mindy's husband is a high school band director so we are well aware of the the work being in bad takes. Good for her.

Have a great day, Hugs, Lura

Great new uniforms and I love the hat. I always wished I had played an instrument and tried for the band. I had friends in the band and they sure had great times and wonderful experiences. Stephanie must have lots of happy memories...hugs, Linda

How fun for your daughter! I'll bet she's loved the time she's had in band. My youngest girl will be heading off to college in the fall as well...that'll be two in college for us as well. Yikes! Where does the time go? Seems to be it was just yesterday I was walking them into Kindergarten for the first time. *sniff!
