I bought some milk glass pieces at the local resale shop. I am going back for the matching
goblets. Hoping they lower the price. Also hoping they are not gone. Anyway. I put them on
top of my cabinets over my planning desk. Do you think the platter would look better in the
middle? Do you think I should put some ivy or a plant in the pedestal fruit Compote?

I would put the plate in the middle and I do think a small English ivy would good since it is so much white in that area.
I love the grape pattern.
Hi there Joy,
Hope your having a lovely start to your Spring!
I think you should put the plate in the middle and then add some color, maybe paint the back of that wall?
Take care and bless you,
Donna Lynn
Hi Joy, Glad to meet you and see we share the love of milkglass! great new pices! What I love about it is it goes with every color and season! Greens would be beautiful on the shelf guess I would put the platter in the middle! See how you'd like it! Later, Lori
I hope your goblets are still there-my luck-they'd be gone by the time I made up my mind!
Have a great week,
Rene'
These are beautiful pieces, Joy.
I would try the platter in the middle. Take a photo and have a look at it. That always helps me, when I make vignettes.
I also just bought a pitcher like this, don't you just love the simplicity of white. I'd add some greenery and a small picture of something on a easel. You could even put a small floral arrangement in the compote. Hey, this would be a great Project Friday post, won't you join me this week. Hugs, Rosemarie
Hi Joy,
Just wanted to stop on by and say "Hi" and thank you for coming over and visiting my blog! I love to read too, and like to escape to Europe frequently through books!
I'm currently reading a book about a tour guide who lives in Chianti territory in Italy. Hope you have a great day!
Smiles, Nancy
Hi Joy!!!
Isn't milk glass so pretty and I'm glad the prices aren't crazy.
I'm with the other gals...platter in the middle with ivy/plants on each side of the platter...just play around until it "speaks" to you. Have fun!!
Warmly,
Deb
Oh I agree...platter in the middle and then add some color!
