New Table Set

We recently went to a garage sale. We are looking for furniture for my son's
college apartment in the fall. I found this table for set for 50.00... I thought
it was a pretty good price. It needed some staining and new cushions but I love
it a lot better than my old square set I have had for over 20 years. Of course
my son will get the old set minus the table leaf that was used in it.
I also got some shades for my chandelier in my diningroom. What do you think?
I am not sure I like them on or off..

Hi Joy, your garage sale find is wonderful. It look great and I love the chairs.
I think the chandelier is very pretty....I like the shades....but I'd like to see it without the shades too....I don't think I was very helpful. hugs, Linda

Wonderful finds, Joy! We missed the sales at home, last week. Nothing here at the lake.

I like the shades, but I think I would like it without too! You can switch. That's what I do with the chandelier over the breakfast room table. Sometimes with shades, sometimes without.

What a wonderful table! I've always wanted a round one like that mine is oblong and takes up so much room in my small dining room.

The shades are pretty! I say take them down when you're tired of the look and then put them back when you're tired of the chandy without them!

That find is better than new! We actually have 3 round tables to eat at in our house. A small cafe size in the kitchen, a very large one in the dining room and a medium size one on the screened porch. I like that there is no best side to sit on and that you can fit more people around the table. Your set is very pretty.

Thank you for leaving a comment on my WhisperWood Cottage blog! Great dining set for a great price! The chandelier shades are great, too. I like them! I've been looking for some but haven't found any I like yet. If you feel formal, leave them on. If you feel casual, take them off. I think they are great for giving a new look in an instant.

Very pretty!
I just love yard sales. I found a table and chairs for $40 a few months ago. I need to restain the top, too.

My son just graduated as well.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog!

I'll be checking back on yours again. I love to read, too.
