Monday Again!

Wow, these Mondays roll around very quickly. This week I don't have anything
around the house to share with your for Blue Monday at Smiling Sallys blog but
a couple pictures that I use as screen savers.. I love the pretty blue sky in
both of them. I am totally ready for spring. Last week I had a flu or virus
and was aching terribly all over my body. I also join Sheila for What are you reading Monday at One Person's Journey thru Books.
This week with being sick I didn't get a lot of reading in, mainly just moaning
and groaning..but I did finish
All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris.. book 7 in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
4 out of 5
Secrets by Robin Jones Gunn -4.5 out of 5 - read here about a giveaway on this title.
and Angel's Peak by Robin Carr - part of the Virgin Rivers series.

This week I have started listening to Julie and Julia by Julie Powell.
and reading
Mad Bad and Blonde by Cathie Linz
After being jilted at the altar, librarian Faith West goes on her Italian honeymoon solo, but doesn't stay that way too long. And though her sexy rebound man has ulterior motives, feelings surface that neither of them are prepared for.
and if I can I want to try to read..
Wench by Dolen Perkins Valdez
Tawawa House in many respects is like any other American resort before the Civil War. Situated in Ohio, this idyllic retreat is particularly nice in the summer when the Southern humidity is too much to bear. The main building, with its luxurious finishes, is loftier than the white cottages that flank it,but then again, the smaller structures are better positioned to catch any breeze that may come off the pond. And they provide more privacy, which best suits the needs of the Southern white men who vacation there every summer with their black, enslaved mistresses. It's their open secret. Lizzie, Reenie, and Sweet are regulars at Tawawa House. They have become friends over the years as they reunite and share developments in their own lives and on their respective plantations. They don't bother too much with questions of freedom, though the resort is situated in free territory-but when truth-telling Mawu comes to the resort and starts talking of running away, things change.
This one is one of Oprah's picks.

Well, I have two books waiting to be read, but I've been crocheting instead. They're "A Good Yarn" by Debbie Macomber and the 3rd in that series, "Back to Blossom Street". I enjoyed the first one very much.
Happy Blues~

I've really like Charlaine Harris's series. I haven't gotten a chance to check out the True Blood series on HBO that's based on the books-have you? Have a great reading week!

Hi Joy, I noticed after reading Blue Monday from last week that you left a comment. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. I left for Knoxville that day to bring my daughter home. I wasn't able to answer the comments until now.

I see you haven't posted in quite a while. I was so busy this summer my visiting really suffered. I hope all is well with you and yours.

Hugs, Jeanne
