What's your answer Wednesday and WOW!

This wednesday I am starting a new meme with Sarah at Blogging While Waiting..and it is called "What's your answer Wednesday?"
Today's question is..What are some of our favorite cold weather food choices??
Well I love Hot cocoa, dressing in sweaters and fleece, decorating for Fall
and going Apple picking..We love apple butter.
So I will share an easy crockpot recipe with you all.

CROCK POT APPLE BUTTER

Approx. 3 lb. apples
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
Dash of salt
3/4 c. water

Fill crock pot 3/4 full of peeled, cored sliced apples. Add remaining ingredients and stir until evenly mixed. Cover and cook on low overnight. If butter has too much liquid, remove lid and cook on high until of desired consistency.

What's better than a hot cocoa on a cold night?? I saw these little packages of
cocoa on the Mary Engelbreit web page.

I also participate in Jill's meme at Breaking the Spine ~"Waiting on Wednesday" where we talk about the
books that are to be released that we can't wait to read.

Product Description
Maddie Moore's whole life needs a makeover.

In one fell swoop, Maddie loses her boyfriend (her decision) and her job (so not her decision). But rather than drowning her sorrows in bags of potato chips, Maddie leaves L.A. to claim the inheritance left by her free-spirited mother-a ramshackle inn nestled in the little coastal town of Lucky Harbor, Washington.

Starting over won't be easy. Yet Maddie sees the potential for a new home and a new career-if only she can convince her two half-sisters to join her in the adventure. But convincing Tara and Chloe will be difficult because the inn needs a big makeover too.

The contractor Maddie hires is a tall, dark-haired hottie whose eyes-and mouth-are making it hard for her to remember that she's sworn off men. Even harder will be Maddie's struggles to overcome the past, though she's about to discover that there's no better place to call home than Lucky Harbor.

Hi Joy

I think we might have to give this a try. I have made applebutter in the oven but never the crockpot.

I want to let you know I've moved the Back Porch to Typepad. Long story!

Hope to see you there!
