Blog Tour for "The Miracle of Mercy Land" by River Jordan

The Miracle of Mercy Land by River Jordan--
Growing up in a small rural community during the 1930's, Mercy Land, the daughter of a preacher decides she wants more out of life. With the loving encouragement of her Aunt Ida,she moves to a beautiful little coastal town in Alabama called Bay City. After working as a waitress for a short time she is hired by Doc the town newspaper owner. Known around town shortly thereafter as Doc's girl she quickly learns the ropes at the town newspaper office. Then out of the blue a mysterious book shows up one day at Doc's office and astonishes both Doc and Mercy. The book allows them take sneak peaks into the lives of the other members of their community. Giving them the opportunity to look into peoples pasts and futures without them knowing. Soon after the book falls into their laps a stranger comes into their lives. Mercy fears that Doc will be turning over his reign at the paper to this man whom she immediately feels and attraction to but doesn't particularly want moving into her life. The man, who Doc has brought to Bay City has a secret that will keep readers guessing plus the mystery behind the "book" will keep readers enthralled. Since I have never read River Jordan's books before I didn't realize what a special treat I was in for this week. I was surprised by the supernatural spin the story took with the book Doc found and I was also very attracted to the southern allure of her characters. I found Jordan's descriptive writing style very charming and will certainly recommend her to others.

I give this book four out of five stars.
This book also comes with a discussion guide and questions.
