Blue Monday and Silver Bells!

We have snow here in St. Louis and temps in the teens yikes, well I did ask for snow. It's Blue Monday at Smiling Sallys blog and I am sharing some of my blue Christmas decorations. I made a cake the other day, it was a duncan hines decadent
mix and my coworkers loved it. If you get a chance try their decadent line!
So the cake is on a blue plate and then I have a blue teddy bear wreath, and of
course my tiny snow buddy tree.
I am also giving away two books and an ornament for Christmas so I hope you enter
the contest. Just click on the sidebar picture to read that post. Hope you are
all having fun shopping, baking or whatever you are doing today! Happy Monday..

Another meme that I participate on Mondays, is at Sheila's blog,Book Journey and
What are you reading?

This week I am listening to a little christmas story from Debbie Macomber
that she said was reprinted after the Manning stories were reissued.
It's called Silver Bells!

Silver Bells (Those Manning Men story)
It wasn't easy for Phillip Lark to single-handedly raise his rambunctious teenage daughter. But the girl had hatched a plot to find her father a wife, and lovely Carrie Weston seemed to fit the bill. Phillip claimed he wasn't interested in remarriage, but would the magic of the holiday season - and Carrie's wonderful charms - help him change his mind?

Mmm, I do love Duncan Hines. I think their cakes are moister.

Happy Blue Monday, Joy.

Hi Joy, Thanks for your visit. I am late getting back I have been gone all day for two days. We have a lot of snow but our truck has 4 wheel drive. Good thing. LOL
Your tree is beautiful and your cake sounds awesome. I haven't made one of those yet. I didn't even know about it. Good to know.

Happy belated Blue Monday.
Hugs, Jeanne
