February 7th, Monday Meme's

Joining Smiling Sally for the Blue Monday meme with this little vingette
of my kitchen window and some new spring items I purchased at Michaels this
weekend. I bought the sweet little blue bird and the flowers in my pitcher.

Also at Sheila' Blog, Book Journey it is time for "It’s Monday! What Are You Reading" Sheila is celebrating her one year anniversary of hosting this meme. I can't believe it has been a year already! Congrats to Sheila! I am starting on an audio of Plum Island by Nelson DeMille for our library bookclub this week. I loaded
it from our library web page using Overdrive and I am listening it to it on my
Sansa MP3 player.

Amazon.com Review
Nelson DeMille's narrative engine is one of the best in the business, and it chugs away in grand style in this story of buried treasure and biological warfare on a tiny spit of land off Long Island. As told by a wry, wounded New York City detective who is drafted to explore a couple of murders, Plum Island is a rich pudding of flavorful (if familiar) ingredients, including a ferocious storm at sea. Other DeMille epics in paperback include By the Rivers of Babylon, The General's Daughter, The Gold Coast, Spencerville, and Word of Honor. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

I have never read Nelson de Mille, but there are a few in my bookclub. May have to try him out after that description!

What an adorable blue bird! And the flowers make me think of Spring -- which I wish would hurry up and get here since I am tired of all this ice and snow!

Happy Blue Monday :-)
