Thrifty Thing Friday

The Thrifty Groove

Joining Diann's Friday Meme at the Thrify Groove blog.

I have seen a lot of these framed chalkboards on blogs and on pinterest so
so I decided we would give it a try. We bought a white frame at a garage sale.
Then some chalkboard spray paint and some wood appliques to dress it up a bit.
We have fun now adding messages to it and I think we did a pretty good job.
The whole thing probably cost 7.00 dollars or so..not shabby! My hubby wrote
the message so excuse any grammatical errors....lol My grand daughter had her
first birthday last weekend!

I have a gdau Lily and her bday is in March too!
Love your chalkboard! Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come back again!
I taught school for 33 years and the best was reading to the kids and getting them interested in Reading. I still get emails from former students asking the name of certain books I read to them. :)

Very cute! Chalkboards are fun. I like the little architectural elements in the corners.
